Waking up at 4:45 am on a Sunday? Only a race can get me out of bed that early.

We were met with British-like weather conditions and I was pretty groggy on the first two stages. After a few close call in stage 3, my mind awoke, but my legs still protested. Of course, this only shows that I need to get out and do a little more riding before the next race. Overall, playing in the mud is always fun, and the race was a hit.

First Enduro race = Jammin’!

The Superplastic Cup was the perfect start into the Enduro season and having experienced it with the bc crew was really sweet. The various stages offered a lot of flow as well as technical descents, which kept me on my toes. This was my first year in Esneux and it will not be my last!

I am so happy to be back on the race course! It’s such a great feeling when I’m standing at the start line with a 200 bpm pulse and adrenaline running through my veins. The race was overall, really awesome.

I had fun on all the technical descents and riding my lightweight Cross Country bike made whipping around super easy. It’s so nice to be part of a team that roots each other on and enjoys a nice beer and bratwurst after the finish. With all the fun I was having, I didn’t realize that I had won the women’s class. Just icing on the cake.

This was more than just a race, this was a huge boost for team moral. Every stage was the opposite of classic races, with everyone happy to see each other riding. The ride to Esneux alone was a blast! It’s weekends like these that turn colleagues to friends. All I can say is, the last two uphill got to us all and the post-race beer was earned.

Cheers!

This was my first ever Enduro race and I had a ton of fun! Even with a dropped chain, and crash everything was awesome. I really enjoyed the bc team spirt as we pedaled the stages together and rode them down cheering each other on. I am excited for the next race. I know it’s gonna be sick.

The race in Esneux was the perfect start to my season. I had so much fun and riding across a finish line again is always exciting. At first, I was a little down while riding, but the bc crew picked me right up and helped me finish with a smile on my face. What a great time!

Once again, I have found myself in Esneux to begin my racing season. The weather treated us well and the relaxed atmosphere made for a great race. Friendly competition was in the air and everyone was having fun. In stage 4 I was sidelined for a second with a bent mech, which cost me some time, but I was having so much fun so it really didn’t matter. Our team did a great job and it was really cool to see Theresia take first place in the women’s category. What a blast!

I had been waiting to hit the trails in Esneux for a while and I was pumped to get some shredding in. The weather was supposed to be crap, but in the end it was a dream. I rode the entire time in just a jersey, which was awesome for this time of year. Stages 2 and 3 where full of flow and fun was the name of the game on the course. Riding with the bc team is always a blast and I can’t wait for the next event!

This was my first time racing and what a time it was. The stages were fun and took a lot of wind out of me, but hey, that’s what a race is for right? The atmosphere was super friendly and everyone around was smiling, including me. I was especially impressed by the young kids shredding at the race as well. Much respect goes out to the little groms. Of course, the bratwurst at the end was the best way to finish up the perfect race day.

I was impressed at how smoothly everything went. From the start line all the way to the bratwurst after the finish, the event organizers kept everything on point. Seeing as I’ve been to Esneux a few times, I was happy to see some new stages and ride some fresh trail. In the end, I had a great time and am looking forward to next year.
