The ARC 1400 DICUT wheelset from DT Swiss is the right choice for your aero or time trial bike. The 62 mm deep DICUT carbon rim has undergone a redesign, generating improved aerodynamics. In addition, wider and more comfortable 25 to 28 mm tyres can also be used on triathlon or time trial bikes. At the same time, the rolling resistance remains low. The new 240 hub is connected to the rim with new Aero Comp II straight pull spokes, which have T-shaped spoke heads, which contributes to the stability. A noticeable sailing effect occurs during crosswinds. The advanced Ratchet EXP freehub reduces idling at the start, by providing direct power transmission. This way your leg power is converted into propulsion with little loss of power.

Ratchet EXP
A ratchet and a threaded ring are integrated into the hub. This reduces the number of components required, resulting in less wear and tear and a lower weight. In addition, the heavy-duty and reliable ratchet system can be easily and quickly maintained. The no-tool concept plays a decisive role, as it allows the freehub to be replaced without any tools. The freehub has two ratchets which engage simultaneously. This means that the contact surface is large and the point load is kept small, which relieves the material and allows the freehub to work particularly reliably and precisely.

Pro Lock
The nipple thread is coated with two-component adhesive to increase the durability of the wheels. It can still be re-trued several times without any problems, but the adhesive strength decreases slightly. The connection between the spoke and nipple cannot loosen by itself.
