Manufacturer's note: The battery of the red light can be swapped out separately. A dead battery, however, negates the function of the quick-change system.
A replacement battery is only needed when the old battery can no longer hold a charge. It is not recommended to store the battery in a drawer over an extended period. The lithium-polymer battery is specially manufactured by Lupine, and is also functional at low temperatures.
