OneUp Components EDC Plug & Pliers Kit - More uses for the EDC tool

The EDC Plug & Pliers kit from OneUp Components is the perfect addition to the EDC Tool or EDC V2 Tool System. The tire plug Jabber Tool can be connected to the EDC housing, or carried in the small storage capsule in the V2 version. There is also room for one bacon strip tyre patch; in the V1 version, these patches fit in the plastic cylinder. The Quick Link pliers, which are suitable for all 10, 11 and 12-speed quick link chains, can also be transported in the cylinder of the earlier version of the EDC Tool.

Das set ist für manche Leute vielleicht hilfreich. Ich verwende weder tubeless noch Kettenschlösser, also erscheint mir dieses net ziemlich überflüssig. Aber lustig ist schon, was es alles gibt.

Nützliches Tool, die Zange passt jedoch entgegen der Aussage im Fließtext nur in den großen Behälter und NICHT in den kleinen. Darüber hinaus ist sie aus meiner Sicht überflüssig, da an dem EDC-Multitool schon ein Werkzeug vorhanden ist um die Kette zu öffnen.

Habe das Set wegen der Quick Link Zange gekauft, weil ich die wegen ihres geringen Gewichts auch auf großer Tour mitnehmen kann, wenn ich unterwegs die Kette tauschen muss. Die Kette (an meinem Reiserad (S-Ram 10-fach) war jetzt nach 2000km reif für einen Austausch. Das Öffnen mit der Quick-Link Zange war im zweiten Versuch (habe das filigrane Zänglein mit einem Lappen umwickelt, weil ich sonst nicht genügend Druck draufbrachte) unproblematisch.

Uneingeschränkt zu empfehlen.
