The Shimano GRX disc brake for gravel use combines the BR-RX400 brake caliper with the mechanical-hydraulic ST-RX610 shift/brake lever. This enables smooth, crisp shifting in the 2x12 or 1x12-speed system. It also impresses with reliable braking control on changing surfaces, which is especially important if you are just starting out with graveling or gravel racing. The lever and grip body ergonomics have been specially adapted to the field of application. The aluminium lever has a texture to prevent slipping and its grip width can be adjusted with the help of an Allen key.
The GRX BR-RX400 brake caliper has excellent heat management and is simple to set up. It follows the flat-mount design, whose user-friendliness and discreet appearance have been tried and tested for years. It allows optimum performance on off-road excursions.
The disc brake is supplied with a shift cable, cable housing, brake hose and organic pads with Ice-Tech cooling fins for heat dissipation. Of course, it is also compatible with sintered pads and can be combined with brake rotors from 140 to 180 mm.

One-Way-Bleeding
One Way Bleeding is a technique used on Shimano calipers that facilitates brake bleeding. The hose routing has been optimised so that no air bubbles remain in the brake calliper. In combination with the funnel, the brake can be bled cleanly and easily.
