Shimano I-Spec adapter SM-SL78-B - XT SL-M780 upgrade to I-Spec B

The Shimano XT I-Spec adapter SM-SL78-B can be used to make the XT SL-M780 and SL-T780 clamp shifters I-Spec (B) compatible so that they can then be installed on corresponding brake levers such as the BL-M780-B. All you have to do is replace the upper housing with the clamp with the adapter. The integration unit is supplied in pairs - for right and left.

Note:: Adapter SM-SL78-B can also be used to make XT and SLX shifter with the old I-Spec mount (up to 2013) compatible with I-Spec B brake levers (as of 2014). However, old shifters without an I-Spec mount (e.g. SLX SL-M660) cannot be combined with new I-Spec brake levers under any circumstances! It is also not possible to make I Spec or I Spec B shifters compatible with I-Spec II or I-Spec EV brake levers.
