The Specialized Renegade 29" Cross Country tyre with GRIPTON® T5 rubber compound and Control casing features low weight, top acceleration, good puncture protection and low rolling resistance. It is a fast-performance, hard surface tyre with flat and relatively closed tread pattern. This together with the medium high offset shoulder lugs ensures optimum load support, cornering grip and best handling. The compound is designed to roll well, last long and grip well in wet conditions. The tyre was designed with overlapping protective layers to prevent punctures in vulnerable areas. The 60 tpi fabric increases durability while keeping weight down. Of course, the Renegade Control T5 can also be ridden without a tube thanks to 2Bliss-Ready technology.

GRIPTON® T5GRIPTON T5 is a variation of the Specialized proven GRIPTON rubber compound based on synthetic rubber and an activated silica compound. This is a cross-country compound that rolls fast, is very durable and offers good traction. The focus is on speed, agility and puncture protection. T stands for " Tread Compound" and the number 5 indicates on a scale of 1 to 10 (the extremes 1 and 10 do not exist) the degree of damping and traction, which falls in the middle range here.
