The 11-speed Alfine internally geared hub emphasises the minimal maintenance claim of the Vortrieb Model 1 bike. One of the biggest advantages of this type of hub is the protected shifting mechanism. Because everything is integrated into the hub body, rain and dirt never reach the shifting components. This increases the lifespan of the shifting system and keeps you from having to clean another cassette. A Carbon-Polyurethane-Composite belt replaces the traditional chain. The belt does not require any lubrication and runs almost silently.
