For fine-tuning the tyre tread: the Tread Cutter by Schwalbe

The Tread Cutter is the first of its kind specifically designed for MTB tyres. It can be used to cut lugs precisely, with a smooth edge and - thanks to the cutting height adjustment - at the desired height.
This allows riders to adapt the tread pattern even more optimally to the respective situation, for example shortening the solid lugs in the middle of the Dirty Dan mud tyre for easier rolling. Or, as with the Hans Dampf, trim back the lugs in the shoulder area to create more clearance and make the tread more aggressive. Lugs that have been ridden " round" are given a straight edge again.
