Shimano Deore BR-M6000 disc brake set - affordable top technologies

The Shimano Deore BR-M6000 disc brake set covers a wide range of applications and convinces with perfectly controllable, powerful braking performance. The brake calipers each have two synthetic resin pistons and are equipped with Ice-Technology so that the heat is dissipated well even during continuous braking. They can be easily serviced using One-Way bleeding. On the other hand, the BL-M6000 2-finger brake levers ensure optimum use of the lever travel (Servo Wave) and can be combined with shifters to save space thanks to the I-Spec II design.

Servo Wave
The Servo Wave brake lever takes up a lot of braking distance at the beginning of its movement so that the pads can be guided to the brake rotor with short lever travel. After the brake pads has been applied, the power transmission factor increases rapidly. The greater part of the lever travel is thus still available to increase the braking force and to modulated it more precisely.

I-Spec II
The Deore M6000 brake levers are compatible with the I-Spec II system, which allows the shift and brake levers to be mounted on the handlebars with just one clamp, giving more freedom in cockpit design, saving weight and improving ergonomics through a wide range of adjustment options. Simple assembly with narrow brake lever clamp. More space on the handlebars and a tidy look. Maximum vertical adjustment range: 15°, maximum horizontal adjustment range: 12 mm. I-Spec II brakes are not compatible with I-Spec, I-Spec B and I-Spec EV shifters (and vice versa).

One-Way Bleeding is designed to quickly and easily prevent air from entering the hydraulic system. Shimano has optimised the brake fluid flow path throughout the system to prevent air bubbles from being trapped in the system.
One way oil routing plus a funnel tool with mineral oil provides an easy and clean bleeding system.

Fading of the brake during prolonged uninterrupted operation, e.g. downhill, impairs braking performance. Shimano has introduced brake rotors and pads with Ice-Tech technology to create a cooling technology for consistently high braking performance. The brake rotor has a three-layer stainless steel sandwich structure on the outside around an aluminium core. It radiates heat better and reduces surface temperature from 400° C to 300° C, for example. The brake pads also have optional cooling fins. The design of the rotor in combination with the cooling fins results in a longer service life of the pads, less braking noise, less fading and lower weight.

With J-Kit Shimano refers to the still unassembled delivery of its disc brake kits. This saves time during brake installation, especially if you want to run the brake line internally. The brake lever and brake caliper are not yet connected by the brake line. The enclosed brake line is already filled with oil and closed by a protective cap. Before installing the brake lever, remove the protective cap of the line and the lock on the brake lever.

Great performance (finally). I had some older shimano brakes and they had almost no real power( rear brake may have been defective from the start). I upgraded to these brakes and have no complaints, I use them with 2 x 180 mm rotors and they both give same brake performance. I'm a heavy driver of ~95 Kg body weight and the brakes can stop me almost instantly. They are ready to be mounted and installed, also the olive is already in the brake hose, so you can just install and drive if the lenght of the hozes is ok for you. I recommend doing a bit of air removal before starting, also do some emergency braking so your sure all works before you go the 1st time. I think the price is very good, I don't mind the extra gramms :):):)
