The Shimano SLX 10-speed Chainring for FC-M7000-10-3 Cranks

This Shimano chainring (40 T) can only be used for the SLX FC-M7000 10-speed crank, not for the 11-speed version. It must be combined with a 22- and a 30-tooth chainring. The chainring is made of aluminium with an anodised finish.

The type designation (one or two characters) helps identify the compatibility of various chainrings with other chainrings. Because the larger chainrings have specially-formed teeth and upward shifting assistance, only particular smaller chainrings will match to ensure proper shifting performance. An XY chainring should only be combined with another XY chainring. This applies to all other types as well.
