The XTR / Dura Ace chain CN-HG901-11 by Shimano - powerful and lightweight
The Shimano CN-HG901 is a premium 11-speed chain, made for use on XTR and Dura Ace groupsets. It features a triple SIL-TEC coating and hollow pins. This minimises friction, prolongs service life and reduces weight, which all in all means a considerable increase in performance. CN-HG901 chains are directional and approved for use with E-bikes. They can be used with one, two or three chainrings. Chain pins are included in the scope of delivery.

Shimano's ultra-low friction surface treatment Superior to simple coating, SIL-TEC is an advanced plating process that improves system performance through the use of imbedded fluorine particles. SIL-TEC products run smoother and wear longer in all conditions.
The CN-HG901-11 chain has an asymmetrical design. The direction of travel must therefore be taken into account when installing. The specially shaped plates optimise the mesh between sprocket and results in smoother gear changes even under load. To save weight, these chains have recesses in the inner plates and hollow pins. The side with the mark is the outside.
