Disc-only all-round vehicle: The Ogre Frameset by Surly

The Surly Ogre frameset is the ultimate bike-of-steel. It gets you to the office on weekdays and takes you out of the city on weekends. It does very well on cross-country tours as well as on single track, and cuts a fine figure on asphalt and gravel. You can pack it full to the brim, so you don't have to go home if you don't want to. Unlike earlier models, the current Ogre comes without a canti base and presents itself as a disc-only monster. 29 mm rims for rim brakes are increasingly difficult to find. Otherwise, this Surly frame continues to impress with its brazed-on parts, Gnot Boost spacing, non-suspension-corrected geometry and the enormous tyre clearance that allows 27.5+ and 29" tyres. Gnot Boost:
The Surly Gnot Boost technology allows the mounting of different over locknut dimensions on the rear wheel. Rear wheels with 12 x 142 mm or 12 x 148 mm thru-axles can be mounted by clamping or spreading the frame. Wheels with an over locknut dimension of 135 mm can be operated in frames with Gnot Boost technology using the rear wheel axle adapter.

When choosing your frame size you should take into account that Surly does not measure the seat tube specifications to the end of the seat tube. For frames with struts on the top tube, this is measured from the middle of the bottom bracket to above the struts. For frames without struts, measure from the middle of the bottom bracket to the top edge of the top tube.
