The Wolf Tooth Components Direct Mount Super Boost Shimano chainring for HG+ 12-speed chain is designed for the so-called " Super Boost Plus" chainline of 56 mm. It is compatible with the Shimano XTR M9100, XT M8100 und SLX M7100 12-speed cranks. It was also designed to work with Shimano XTR, XT and SLX 12-speed Hyperglide+ chains. These interact with the chainring in a very different way than a traditional wide narrow design. Wolf Tooth has therefore invested a lot of time to understand how the HG+ system works and to design an optimal tooth profile. The result is a chainring that combines the quiet and smooth performance of the Hyperglide Plus drivetrain with the legendary Wolf Tooth chain retention. This also counteracts premature wear, which can occur when using a non-optimised product.
