When it comes to MTB handlebars, factors such as rise, backsweep, upsweep and width are very important so that the cockpit supports the individual riding style of the rider. Mostly, the importance of perfectly fitting handlebars is underestimated. Personally, I find a backsweep of 8° and an upsweep of 5° perfect, like with the OneUp Components Carbon handlebars or the LEVELNINE Pro Team Carbon. On a Trail bike I ride a width of 780 mm, on an Enduro 800 mm. A well-designed carbon handlebar also gives the rider a little more damping.
