The Tyrant helmet from Giro is equipped with the advanced MIPS Spherical safety system and has a full-cut design. These elements offer you the best protection on the MTB. No matter if trails are a little rougher or if you have to take on tight turns, the Tyrant is there to protect you from thorns, branches or flying rock shards with its deep-drawn tail and ear covers. The outer helmet shell is extra hard and durable, and when coupled with the In-Mold construction, maximizes impact protection. In addition, your head stays well-ventilated thanks to the Roc Loc Air Fit System. Adjusting to your head size is a snap, which means you can get going quickly.

Technology:

Hard Shell Construction
The robust helmet outer shell is made of ABS composite, fibreglass or carbon. It is glued to the foamed EPS inner shell.

In-Mold Construction
The polycarbonate outer shell is glued to the EPS inner shell, which increases the resistance of the helmet. It also makes it easier to shape vents, which means that In-Mold designs typically have better ventilation systems and a lighter weight.

MIPS Spherical
This is the further development of the Multi-Directional Impact Protection System and has two movable protective layers. These can move in all directions and function similarly to a joint. The brain is thus protected against angular impact. The principle of the natural low-friction layer of the brain is adapted in order to minimise the forces that occur.

Roc Loc Air Fit System:
The size is adjusted in small steps with just two fingers. The ventilation of the helmet has been optimized. The helmet design creates an air cushion between the head and the helmet shell. This allows the airstream to flow without resistance and cool the head.
