The XTR XC FC-M9100-2 Crankset by Shimano - Ideal for steep ascents

The Shimano XTR XC FC-M9100-2, which comes with a TL-FC41 chainring tool, is a crankset for cross-country use with two chainrings. The large chainring is installed according to the direct-mount principle. FC-M9100-2 has a narrower, race-ready Q-factor of 162mm and is intended for use with 12-speed drivetrains only. The model is aimed at riders who require flexibility and the widest possible range in unfamiliar terrain with potentially steep climbs. Of course, the aluminium crank also features Hollowtech II construction, which has been tried and tested for years, creating an optimal balance between the strength of the crank arms, the stiffness of the axle and the weight.

Shimano Hollowtech II is a crank bottom bracket system designed to achieve an ideal ratio of stiffness, weight and rotational efficiency. It is based on an integration of the bottom bracket and the right crank arm and works with a 24 mm axle or bearing diameter, which has proven to be optimal in terms of stability. In many cases, the bearing cups are on the outside so that the load is better distributed. High-quality precision seals ensure a long service life.
