The Butcher Grid Gravity T9 27.5" folding tyre from Specialized is also available in a Plus version with a 2.6" tyre width. Just like its narrower counterpart, it enables maximum grip, a lot of control and high puncture protection in downhill racing and other scenarios. The tread pattern with siped centre and biting shoulder lugs offers optimum steering precision and cornering traction. The Butcher Grid Gravity's outstanding traction and vibration damping are due to the innovative use of the GRIPTON® T9 compound. Added to this is the robust dual-ply carcass, a two-layer construction with superior puncture resistance. Thanks to 2Bliss-Ready technology, the tyre can also be driven without an inner tube.

GRIPTON® T9
GRIPTON T9 is a variation of the Specialized proven GRIPTON rubber compound based on synthetic rubber and an activated silica compound. It is a super gripping gravity compound that morphs slowly back into its starting position when deformed or impacted. The goal is to absorb every kind of vibration, so that the tyre essentially sticks to the ground. The " T" stands for " Tread Compound," and the number 9, on a scale from 1 to 10 (the extremes values 1 and 10 do not exist), indicates the degree of damping and road grip, which in this case offers the highest possible value.
