Shimano Deore FC-T6010 crankset with chain guard - at the heart of the City & Touring groups


The Shimano Deore FC-T6010 10-speed crankset is equipped with three chainrings and can be considered the heart of the Deore City & Touring groupset. In combination with the other drivetrain components, it delivers smooth and reliable shifts, even under load. The Hollowtech II design with fixed 24 mm axle provides a balance of strength and weight. A chain guard is supplied to protect the rider's trousers from contact with the chain. The FC-T6010 crank is also chaincase compatible when full protection is required. You have the choice between a black and a silver anodised aluminium finish.

What matters is the overall balance of the crankset. With regard to the entire crankset, an optimum ratio between the strength of the crank arms, the stiffness of the axle, the bearing position and other features is very important. During the development of the crankset, the overall balance of all individual elements was carefully considered in order to ensure maximum stability.
Outer bearing: On most 68 mm bottom bracket housings, the Hollowtech II 24 mm axle can be mounted outside the frame for better weight distribution and stability.
High-quality precision seals: The Hollowtech II set also features high quality precision seals in the bearing area to extend durability and maintain excellent rotation efficiency over time.
The axle and the 24 mm diameter bearings ensure optimum balance of the crankset and optimum transmission of power to the bicycle.

Die Kurbel sieht auf den ersten Blick gut aus und funktioniert einwandfrei. Leider ist die Verarbeitung eher fragwürdig- Grate und kleinere Fehlstellen. Kein Grund sie zurückzuschicken, aber die Qualität bei Shimano war schon besser.
