I was planning on replacing an old Shimano 105 hub beacuse the right cone was pitted and there was nowhere I could find a replacement. But then I stumbled upon this one at bike-components.de. The measurements are identical, even though the description doesn't mention compatibility with FH-1056 (my old 105 hub). It is just my assumption, but this cone might be compatible with a multitude of other shimano rear hubs. Just check the exploded diagram of your particular model on the Shimano website and see the dimensions of your pitted right site cone nut. If they match this one, my advice is to give it a go.

Congratulations to bike-components.de for keeping quite a large array of small spare parts. I suggest adding more types of Shimano and Campagnolo cones in stock, as these little buggers are nearly impossible to be found anywhere. And this scarcity of cones defeats the purpose of cup-and-cone hubs. Make the home mechanic happy, bike-components.de!
