"I purchased this shock for my 2020 Stumpjumper Evo, which originally came with a Fox DPX2. Being able to buy a shock specifically tuned for your exact bike model is a huge advantage. Ohlins produced two shocks in 2019–2020 specifically designed to survive the heavy side loads of the Stumpjumper frame: a coil (serial number SBC 1974) and an air shock (SBC 2045).I’m very happy with my purchase and surprised by the pedaling efficiency. It feels awesome on technical climbs; it doesn’t squish or 'pedal bob' like the Fox. Instead, it provides perfect support and traction while climbing—I don’t even have to switch it to pedal mode; it’s perfect even in the open position.When the descent starts, the Ohlins really unlocks its potential. It’s like clicking a button that transforms your bike from an XC bike into a full enduro machine. The mid-stroke support is huge. I never felt this confident on descents with the DPX2; with that shock, I could feel the bike's limits when the track got rough. With the Ohlins, it pushes me to ride harder and find my own limits as a rider.The good news is that the shock is 210x50mm, and I believe it can be extended to 52.5mm or 55mm, meaning it’s suitable for other Stumpjumper models, not just the 2019–2020 range.
